Y hoy me he puesto a ayudar en el hotel City Plaza de Atenas. El mejor hotel del mundo. Fue un hotel de lujo, y ahora es un lujo poder estar aqu\u00c3\u00ad. Un hotel ocupado, autogestionado y hogar de cerca de 400 refugiados.  Gestionado por voluntarios y sin ning\u00c3\u00ban tipo de ayuda publica ni de ONGs, un mont\u00c3\u00b3n de personas solidarias colaboran para que este proyecto siga d\u00c3\u00ada a d\u00c3\u00ada en marcha.  Un lujo de hotel, de verdad. <\/p>\n<p>Esta ma\u00c3\u00b1ana; respondiendo a un mont\u00c3\u00b3n de amistades e intentando leer un poco, entre tanta emoci\u00c3\u00b3n; he sabido que ya han pasado 10 a\u00c3\u00b1os de la muerte del escritor y periodista <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ryszard_Kapu%C5%9Bci%C5%84ski\" target=\"_blank\">Kapu\u00c5\u203aci\u00c5\u201eski<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p> Un periodista que conoci\u00c3\u00b3 guerras y guerrillas, revueltas y noticias que impactaron al mundo. Kapu\u00c5\u203aci\u00c5\u201eski  escrib\u00c3\u00ada  con el coraz\u00c3\u00b3n, para tratar de explicar la situaci\u00c3\u00b3n en el  mundo.<br \/>\nLa raz\u00c3\u00b3n y la palabra fueron sus mejores armas.  <\/p>\n<p>Escribe otro periodista, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eldiario.es\/zonacritica\/periodista-explicaba-mundo-palabra-corazon_6_604799553.html\" target=\"_blank\">Pascual Serrano<\/a>, que  <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ryszard_Kapu%C5%9Bci%C5%84ski\" target=\"_blank\">Kapu\u00c5\u203aci\u00c5\u201eski<\/a> nos recuerda que si de verdad se quieren ofrecer al lector las claves para comprender el mundo, no se puede pasar de puntillas sobre las tragedias que asolan a la humanidad, no basta con decir qu\u00c3\u00a9 mala es la guerra, qu\u00c3\u00a9 terrible es el hambre o qu\u00c3\u00a9 pena ser pobre. Hay que explicar los or\u00c3\u00adgenes, los intereses, los motivos que mueven a los diferentes sectores y grupos humanos a adoptar un determinado comportamiento.<\/p>\n<p>Por eso, desde Grecia tratando de ayudar en lo posible a los refugiados y denunciar su situaci\u00c3\u00b3n, intentar\u00c3\u00a9 profundizar en las causas de su huida, de su refugio, de lo que dejan atr\u00c3\u00a1s todas estas personas llegadas desde Siria, Libia, Afganistan, T\u00c3\u00banez, Palestina o Kurdistan\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p>Detr\u00c3\u00a1s de cada sonrisa de estos ni\u00c3\u00b1os y ni\u00c3\u00b1as, de sus familiares, de la gente que estoy conociendo aqu\u00c3\u00ad\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6hay toda una historia. Personal y pol\u00c3\u00adtica. And today I&#8217;ve been helping out at the <a href=\"http:\/\/solidarity2refugees.gr\/support-city-plaza-refugee-accommodation-solidarity-center-athens-greece\/\">City Plaza Hotel in Athens<\/a>. <em>The best hotel in the world<\/em>. It was a luxury hotel, and now it is a luxury to be here. A busy, self-managed hotel and home to about 400 refugees. Managed by volunteers and without any public help or NGOs, a lot of supportive people collaborate to make this project continue day by day. A luxury hotel, really.<\/p>\n<p>This morning; responding to a lot of friends and trying to read a little, among so much emotion; I have learned that 10 years have passed since the death of the writer and journalist <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ryszard_Kapu%C5%9Bci%C5%84ski\" target=\"_blank\">Kapu\u00c5\u203aci\u00c5\u201eski<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A journalist who knew wars and guerrillas, riots and news that impacted the world. Kapu\u00c5\u203aci\u00c5\u201eski wrote with the heart, to try to explain the situation in the world.<br \/>\nReason and word were his best weapons.<\/p>\n<p>Another journalist, Pascual Serrano, writes that <strong>Kapu\u00c5\u203aci\u00c5\u201eski<\/strong> reminds us that if you really want to offer the reader the keys to understanding the world, you can not tiptoe over the tragedies that devastate humanity, it is not enough to say how bad the War, how terrible is hunger or what a pity to be poor. It is necessary to explain the origins, the interests, the reasons that move the different sectors and human groups to adopt a certain behavior.<\/p>\n<p>That is why, from Greece trying to help the refugees as much as possible and denouncing their situation, I will try to deepen the causes of their flight, their refuge, what is left behind by all those people coming from Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Palestine or Kurdistan &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Behind every smile of these children, their families, the people I am meeting here &#8230; there is a whole story.
